- cool to include the possibility to teleport through levels stored in different
- files. This way, we will be able to make ENORMOUS levels without ENORMOUS
- problem !

- pet ? What I mean is a friendly creature which would battle with you. Do
- imagine the rage you will feel against those bloody green-skins who killed your
- dear pet chaos-beaver...

- - this one appeared while writing the previous one : BM will be
- freeware, isn't it ? So, it's possible to use all the good ideas we can find
- in NetHack, which is IMHO THE BEST GAME ever released on Mother Earth... The
- only problem it has, is that it's not very... errr... beautiful. But a 3D
- (errr... In fact a '2D' one, isn't it ?) NetHack will definitely be THE BEST
- GAME ever released on etc..., all platforms considerated... Furthermore, its
- sources are freely downloadable from every Unix dedicated FTP site, which would
- make some things easier to BM coders, I think... Here are some GREAT
- improvements we could do in BM, derivated (or just copied :-)) from NetHack :

- - zombi-monsters FAR stronger past midnight
- - owning a pet
- - some kinda very fun magic items (polymorph rings, etc...)
- - when you're in a very bad health, or when you've got a
- problem (blinded, hallu, etc...), you can pray your god. But beware ! Don't
- disturb him too much, or next time will be definitely negative...
- - sacrifice : very cool effects happening when you sacrifice a
- big enough creature on an altar.
- - Your pet could have different behaviors, if its name is
- Snoopy or Cerberus... (Special names included in the game)
- - possibility to write on walls and floors. When you're on a
- 'Elbereth' square, most of low level creatures will be repulsed. But don't
- attack them, or Elbereth will retrieve her protection...
- - special weapons, like Stormbringer, Ogresmasher, or Orcrist
- (errr... Did you read Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' ?
- - modular magic system : if players do have ideas for other
- interesting spells, if their ideas are possible to do, someone from the dev
- team could include it. Spells will be cast with a button pressure combination,
- , its complexity depending on the corresponding spell power.
- - possibility to save a player, apart from a saved game, so
- that you can play with -your- player, and increase its level while playing
- regularly, keeping your characteristics, magic items, and so on...
- - a lot of things to put here, but no time... Perhaps it's
- enough for this time ?

- Of course, all those things won't be included in BM first complete
- release, but it would be very good to design the game so that those features
- can be included later. What about those ideas ? Cool, isn't it ? :-)
